John Baker and Juli Daoust, the couple behind the Mjölk Design Gallery in Toronto, have turned a duplex into a Victorian home into a Zen space cradled in Scandinavian and Japanese influences. Opened in 2009, this atypical place is both a gallery and a concept store that combines art and design furniture in a timeless setting with simple and clean lines.

AIR INK, L’ART DE TRANSFORMER LA POLLUTION

Turning pollution into art to reduce the negative impact of humans on the planet is the niche of Graviky Labs. This Indian start-up has in fact developed a process that makes it possible to recover the pollutant particles generated by the engines in order to transform them into ink pigments. We simply fix a filter on its muffler that helps recover the fine particles. Result a black ink and markers of different calibres that artists from around the world can make use of. This approach comes from a country hard hit by pollution, is part of a global trend, which considers recycling as the spearhead of the fight against pollution.
