Aesop opens a new all-brick store in Brooklyn

The must-have cosmetics brand Aesop has just opened a new store at the heart of Brooklyn, New York, called “Aesop Park Slope”. Known for its high-quality products and easily identifiable minimalist packaging, Aesop is also famous for its retail outlets with ever more incredible designs, created in collaboration with architects. For this store, the brand turned to Frida Escobedo, who designed a brick decor using rammed earth from her country of origin, Mexico.

Torafu Architects designs a Freitag store that resembles a kiosk

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Freitag chose the studio Torafu Architects to design its new store in Osaka, Japan. In a unique style reminiscent of a kiosk, the Freitag store combines an industrial look with coloured accents thanks to the many bags on display. Freitag, which manufactures practical bags made from recycled materials such as old lorry tarpaulins, bicycle inner tubes or seat belts, has acquired a space that reflects its image, right at the heart of Japan.

Delvaux opens a majestic store in a manor in Brussels

Delvaux, the oldest luxury leather goods brand in the world founded in Belgium in 1829, has opened “Le 27”, a new store designed by the Milanese studio Vudafieri-Saverino Partners. “Le 27” has been established in a manor on boulevard de Waterloo in Brussels and is much more than a mere store: it’s a unique space that combines the know-how of Delvaux’s collections with the beauty of the greatest Belgian design objects, paintings and ceramics.

HOMECORE OPENS A COLOURFUL POP-UP STORE ON THE CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES

While awaiting its announced collaboration with the rapper Kekra, which will be released in 2019, the legendary streetwear brand Homecore has opened a colourful graphic pop-up store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Designed by the studio Malka Architecture, the venue showcases solid blocks of colour that reference graffiti and the brand’s street roots, as well as its values extolling a fun and joyful attitude.

THE HIGHLY INSTAGRAMMABLE CONCEPT STORE DESIGNED BY PEWTER X CULDESAC

Culdesac’s designers have created an ultra-graphic and above all very “Instagrammable” space for the concept store for the Pewter brand, which specialises in selling sports equipment. This new space right at the heart of Valencia, entirely decorated in neon lights, with a concrete floor and visible pipes, seems to be an extension of the urban landscape and hopes to appeal to connected young people from the millennial generation.
